Hedonism

Most of us live a life
in which pleasure
is the only essential good ...

Marie - the major friend

I like you
You so special

Just close your eyes let me hypnotize you
I can make your storm feel sky blue
Girl when you lost you know I’ll find you,
If I’m not beside you I’m behind you
Imagine you,r’ on the beach in your laws,
You feel the breeze because you’re clothes off
Your inhibitions you got nothing to hide
And then help ‘em rise don’t you wanna ride

It was summer
I was happy

I traveled around

I had a lot to do
to discover
A lot to see
to know
to try
Then the cold came slowly
And I was dead
poetry head was dead
and I am still

Allen Ginsberg ...a strange one

Howl

Contetual a bad movie when you know who Allen Ginsberg was and what his story is
BUT if you imagine there never was a Allen Ginsberg and this movie arose from pure fantasy it's
... sweet?! Never mind. Enjoy watching because of James Franco and the chlothing-story.

Time for a poem-post

What I want to share with you:
A german poem accompanied by lovely carousel pictures
I begin with a poem from the Bohemian-Austrian poet and art critic
Rainer Maria Rilke (one of the most significant poets in German language!)

"Das Karussell" (the carousel)
Jardin du Luxembourg

Mit einem Dach und seinem Schatten dreht
sich eine kleine Weile der Bestand
von bunten Pferden, alle aus dem Land,
das lange zögert, eh es untergeht.
Zwar manche sind an Wagen angespannt,
doch alle haben Mut in ihren Mienen;

Do you also think carousels become a certain strangeness when you get older ?
I never recognized this when I was younger. It might be due to the fact thay
we were blinded by the beautiful children's world and then seeing the narrownes of it
while getting older and getting out of the children's world.
btw did you know saying: 'Grow up!', to a child drestroyes their fantasy?

metamorphosis

Let me tell you something ...
When I was about 10 years old, I was so curious about insects especially in caterpillars.
Everyone called me: "Insektenkönigin" (Queen Of Insects).
One day I found a leaf with a few fresh born caterpillars.
That was the begining of a new friendship!
I still remember how cute and linty they looked.
I wish I had a camera in that time to document that and the following days I spent with
my caterpillars :) Never mind, I still got wonderful memories.
The caterpillars got soon a luxury home in my terrarium and they didn't stop grwoing.
But their fulltime pursuit was eating, eating and eating ...
...suddenly they became so big and fat, that I thought twice before I took them out of the terrarium. A metamorphosis of a butterfly is without doubts one of the most enthralling experience I did
in my life.
The moment of glory when a wonderful butterfly slips out of the misterious cocoon, which was one second before a chubby, multicolored caterpillar with an army of big fat suckers as legs, is an unique, precious and rare experience.

Edgar Degas & fluke of life

When I was prepareing this post about one of my favourite artists
I was pleasently surprised about his birthdate - 19. Juli 1834 -
- it is also my birthday.
Isn't this lovely fluke like a little present of life?
Anyway it really made my day (and suddenly in rhyme-mood haha).
Ok, enough talking about lucky me. Where did I leave off ?
What I like about Degas' paintings are the colors he used and certainly
the balletdancers in this breathtaking and spectacular tutu-skirts.
Hilaire-Germain-Edgar De Gas was a Frenc painter. He preferred ballet scenes
as motives but he also painted scenes from the operas, theatre, horse running
and everyday life which he showed in modern style with concrete elements.
They are stamped by a sharp observation of the movement and by his typical edge figures.
Degas counts today to the important parallel figures of the impressionism.
Thanks Mister
